This month we're chatting to Roleplay aficionado and major Fable II fan: WesGreenMcqueen!  1) Describe yourself in 5 wordsFather…..Director…..Gamer…..Athlete…..MusicianThat’s also in order of importance ;-P 2) Where did your gamertag/forum name come from?OK….here we go….you did ask afterall didn’t you?. I used to be in a cool as punk band at school. Each band member had a silly made up names. I was 14 (don’t know why we decided to make up names). I’m 30 now. Back then I was Wes Green. To a few I still am Wes. My real name Is Ben McQueeney…and as that was taken as a gamer tag. Wesgreenmcqueen was used. But Ben how did you come up with the name Wes Green when you were a kid anyway? Well my mother was going to call me Wesley and my father was going to call me Ben. They agreed on Wesley after I was born. Only for my dad to change it to Ben at the last second when he registered my birth without my mothers permission. What a bloody nutter. Well where did the Green at the end come from?Because I wasn’t very imaginative as a 14 year old. 3) Favourite Fable game? Some of the community may recognise me from such threads as “Why fable 2 is the best fable”, “I’m going to get me a fable 2 tattoo.” And “I am going to do a fable 2 role-play.”So I guess the answer is fable: the journey…No wait….. Fable 2…..Obviously. For me, fable 2 has everything. The perfect formula I like to see in a game. Apart from the obvious stuff, it had that hidden “emotional level” that some games miss that really attaches you to the game. The other key thing for me in fable 2 was the mysterious bits and slighting unexplained story threads which left it up to you to decide what they mean. The DLC as well was class….I think you probably get the picture I could talk about fable 2 all day. 4) Strength, Skill or Will?Strength…..always. This may stem for my love of contact sports. I played Rugby and American football whilst I was getting my degrees. I used to pretend that whilst I was in the huddle I was absorbing experience orbs and gaining new abilities to unleash on the hobbes. Which were the other team. Sometimes it would work and I would score a touch down. Sometimes it wouldn’t and I would be put on my bum. On those occasions I would lay there looking at the sky thinking. “Hero, your health is low. Do you have any potions or food?" 5) Would you rather fight ten chicken sized horses or one horse sized chicken?Oh… looking forward to this. I would like to do it a bit differently. Ill answer it as Ben McQueeney (the sensible laboratories director) and then as Wes Green (the 14 year old that hasn’t grown up yet)Ben McQueeney“Which ever provided me the most quality protein after slaughter. I guess that would be the large chicken. Plus from a lean perspective (business skills coming out here) it would be quicker to fight the large chicken as you would only have to beat one individual rather then 10 little ones. Therefore giving you a favourable time saving. Time is money after all wes!” Wes Green“I would too pick the large chicken Ben because I have always wanted Chocobos from final fantasy to be real. I even have a chocobo tattoo on my arm! I would feed it loads and loads of frosties until it was really really fat and then take numerous selfies of myself sat on it and upload them on my social networks.” 6) Favourite Fable character? I would of liked to have some sort of bar graph here showing relative % of favouritism of characters. However, in the absence of that. Without a shadow of a doubt it’s Theresa. I like that she is mysterious. She’s the physical link between the games. I like how you don’t know for the most part if she is good or bad. Whether she is acting in the interest of Albion or herself. Without spoiling the ending to Fable the journey, I needed to sit down and gather my thoughts for a good 3 days before I accepted the end of that game. 7) Most memorable Fable location?Back to Fable 2. Probably, any one of the areas behind the demon doors. Especially the ones that are just eerie and weird and not fully explained. Notable mention to the Cotters house. Which I actually wrote a short story about because I loved its bizarreness that much. Overall it’s “The perfect world” family home / farm area. Where Sparrow is there with his sister Rose and there’s lots of strange stuff going on (won’t spoil it). But the general feeling I had there was one of happiness and sadness for sparrow and rose. Made the ending of the game so powerful especially when receiving Roses letter.8) Favourite quote from a Fable game? It’s probably when Theresa who prior to this point has spoken very indirect, mysterious and over generalised and to some extent a caring tone and love. Blurts this bad boy out “The Spire is mine. Be gone.”Immediately after this abrupt and direct line and a true insight to what she had been planning during the course of the game. My reaction* was“WAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH”*Mind blown. Quick notable mention to the random child who whilst stroking your dog in fable 2 says “My favourite colour is doggy colour.”LOL what the…..? Long live fable.   Head over to our forums now to discuss this month's digest!
