Hey what was your limit on what makes something a retro series, it's 2006 right? I was thinking of asking for Nekojiru Udon next time you had open suggestions, but aside from the anime not selling well here, I remembered you guys didn't take older series. So I just wanted to make sure I got the dates straight while thinking of suggestions.

There really is no OFFICIAL cut off date. To me it really depends on whether the series has digital files since paying for print-quality scans and then the re-mastering costs a lot and takes a lot of time on our part.
That said, at this time I do not see us taking a title like that. We’ve brought it up in jest over drinks before…in jest.
Super-abstract works like that are not our style. Seinen, edgy alt and josei are more like it. Titles like this are better served by Fantagraphics, Last Gasp and crowd-sourced projects, than us.
I appreciate the thought though.
