NIPPONISTA - Japanese Fashion, Art & Food in NYC:

Japanese department store ISETAN will introduce select items under the themes, “FASHION & ART: JAPAN LUXURY”, and “FOOD & DESIGN: JAPAN STYLE” in a pop-up store from February 6th to the 13th during the New York Fashion Week. The project team consists of eight ladies endowed with a youthful sense of creativity. They have selected the brands and the products, and have negotiated for the exhibit one by one. With strong support from METI, we are confident that we can present an impressive display of Japan’s technical and creative excellence to the world.

Why not head on down to SOHO and check out this pop-up store by ISETAN and Japan’s Ministry of Economics, Trade & Industry (METI).
Is this the next evolution in Japan COOL? Maybe. It might also be extremely high-end for most people, but the ingenuity may be easily some of the best Japan has exported in a while.
