Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Animevortex Online Community Forums. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Rules

    1. Registration

      1. Due to the amount of issues we have had with spammers over the years, all registration attempts need to be approved by an admin. If you don't personally know an admin, visit the main webpage (animevortex.net) and click on over to the contact section and shoot us an email.

        Step 1) Register on forums!
        Step 2) Talk to an admin or use the contact section to email us. Include your username and associated email, as well as a brief introduction of yourself so that we know you are human! Exceptions can be made for certain non-human entities, but bots, Gundams (and other forms of mechs), AI and scripts will *never* be welcome. So say we all!

        Simple right?

        I apologize for the inconvenience, I really do. It's an inconvenience for us as well to have to babysit the registration attempts, but I am absolutely finished with having to constantly adjust the anti-spam settings because bots and spammers keep getting smarter. May all spammers suffer an incredible....suffering...in life. :) #

    2. No Spam

      1. No selling/auctioning, channel ads/names, etc etc…your not stupid...don’t act like it. You can post urls/links and what not as long as they pertain to the topic of that thread! If you post a url for an file such as an Anime music video, fanart, etc, make sure the url points directly to that file. #

    3. No Harassing Users

      1. ot post any vulgar, obscene, inflammatory or racist comments..or they will have full permission to disembowel you.. :twisted: -- Seriously though, any kind of bullying, trolling or other forms of rude conduct will not be tolerated (zero-tolerance). #

    4. No Porn

      1. Absolutely no adult content is allowed. This will result in disciplinary action, leading up to deletion of your account or even a permanent ban. #

    5. No Flooding

      1. Flooding and mass posting of junk to higher post levels or what not will not be accepted. If you’re going to post, do it right. If someone is offering something they did, or what not…at least say a short thank you or something. Don’t just post with "coo" or "smilie face" etc. #

    6. No Pirates

      1. Do not post warez material, cracks, serials, etc. This is an anime-related board......keep it that way :P
        And keep it legal, arrr #

    7. Reporting Users

      1. Reporting Posts to an Admin/Mod: Every post has a small icon/button that allows you to report it. If the post is the wrong section, is violating any forum rule, contains broken links or in any way unacceptable, please feel free to let us know by using this feature. #

    8. Have Fun

      1. Finally, the most important rule is, HAVE FUN!!!
        It takes a lot to put a forum together and maintain it. Seeing others enjoy it makes it worth all the time and money spent to make it all happen :) #
